Tabaré Leyton is a tango singer. Not just any tango singer. He impresses because of his voice, of his stage presence and charisma. For these reasons he's been compared to the maximum tango exponents.
He performed together with artists such as Tanghetto, Horacio Ferrer, La Yunta, Mónica Navarro, Giovanna, Los Cigarros, Luis Di Matteo, Alejandro Balbis, Andrea Bonelli, etc. Tabaré participated in numerous occasions of the official tango festivals in both Buenos Aires and Montevideo, the world's two tango capitals.

From the fertile collaboration with argentine neo tango band Tanghetto (with whom recorded recently four studio songs, two of them included as studio tracks of the double "VIVO" album) arises also the process of creation of Tabaré's discographic debut. "La Factoría del Tango", with artistic and executive production of Max Masri, is a display of the various abilities and talents of Tabaré, including his vocal versatility and songwriting capabilities. The album was recorded between 2009 and 2010 in both Buenos Aires and Montevideo with the finest tango, candombe and murga musicians. Some of the special guest are Hugo Fattoruso, Tanghetto, Ney Peraza, etc. In 2010 Tabaré wins a contest organized by the Spanish Embassy in Montevideo granting him a headlining night in the Granada Festival (Spain), which was a huge success. The European tour also included dates in other spanish and french cities. He is currently one of the guest singuers of the prestigious binational “Orquesta del Tango del Río de la Plata”. In 2011, a series of succesful concers in Buenos Aires exposes his voice to bigger audiences. He's been described recently as "one of the most outstanding tango voices in the world" ("La Nación" newspaper).
